Discovering your perfect wedding dress should be a joyous experience that you will cherish. And that’s what Bridal Apparel is here to deliver, ensuring you feel cared for from the moment you arrive.
So what can you expect from each of your visits to Bridal Apparel. Let’s start at the very beginning….
Your first visit: choosing your dress
It can feel overwhelming when you begin your search for the perfect wedding dress. That’s why we’ll take all the stress out of it by starting with a chat. Your dedicated Bridal Stylist will ask you about:

Whether there is a theme to your wedding

What you want to achieve with your wedding day look

Whether you want to accentuate or divert attention from any part of your body

What your approximate budget is
With all those insights, your Bridal Stylist will pair up your answers with your beautiful body shape and show you a selection of dresses that match your wedding dress dreams and will leave you feeling body positive.
Your first fitting appointment
With your designer wedding dress selected, we’ll ask you to return around 8 weeks before your wedding day with your wedding shoes in hand. If your weight changes significantly or you become pregnant, please do get in touch to arrange another fitting appointment.
We’ll take your full body measurements to ensure your dress looks and feels perfect from top to bottom. You can also select your accessories, such as a hair piece and/or veil.
Once your first fitting appointment is finished, we’ll get to work on making your dress, if it is made-to-measure, or preparing it, if it is ready-to-wear. It will be carefully stored away from the moment you select it until the day you collect it.
Your second fitting appointment
We’ll ask you to come by about 4 weeks before your wedding day for a final fitting, complete with your bridal underwear, accessories and shoes. You can also bring along any mementos that you would like sewn into your dress.
Once your fitting is complete, it’s time for dress etiquette to help ease any nerves on the day. We’ll show you how to comfortably and confidently sit, stand, get up and go to the ladies’ room in your wedding dress.
Before you go, book in your collection date and your post-wedding aftercare appointment.
Collecting your dress
At your collection appointment, we’ll have your wedding dress waiting, pressed, packaged and ready to take to your car. All you need to do is pick it up.
Your aftercare appointment
Come say hello and tell us all about your beautiful day! And while you’re with us, you can leave your dress for cleaning, pressing and packaging, so you can preserve it and your wedding day memories.
