BRIDAL APPAREL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We have supplied over 20,000 wedding gowns all on time and have never let a bride down. In fact our testimonials say it all! We love working with engaged couples and pride ourselves on a transparent relationship. Please see below all our terms and conditions.
1 PAYMENT OF ORDER
1.1 Customers are required to pay a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit on the date of ordering all bridal gowns, bridesmaids gowns and accessories. Unless you choose to pay via Klarna. See Klarna's terms and conditions. Unless the item was purchased on a sale or promotional offer, then full payment is required to receive the discounts and benefits.
1.2 No goods may be removed from the premises until full payment of the order has been fulfilled.
ALL GOWNS REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF BRIDAL APPAREL, LEEDS UNTIL PAID FOR IN FULL.
1.3 Customers should retain their sales contracts, and any other receipts as proof of purchase, and be sure to have read this TERMS AND CONDITIONS NOTICE and fully understand its requirements.
Bridal Apparel, Leeds has such terms to protect its business regardless of your circumstance.
2 CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
2.1 Customers who cancel their sales contract are NOT entitled to a refund of any monies already paid up to and including the cancellation date and must pay any outstanding balance that becomes due.
Please be aware that once gowns are ordered minimum cancellation periods from suppliers apply to Bridal Apparel, Leeds and under NO circumstances can this be changed.
Dress orders will still have to be paid for in FULL. If the wedding is cancelled for whatever reason, costs will still be incurred to the suppliers and to BRIDAL APPAREL, LEEDS – regardless of ANY circumstance.
3 RETURN POLICY
3.1 All custom made items (such as Wedding Dresses and Bridesmaids dresses) purchased are non-returnable/refundable.
Veils can be returned if they are unworn and return within 7 days in its original packaging and returned to us at the customer's expense for a full refund (minus initial delivery costs).
3.2 For reasons of hygiene accessories such as tiaras,hair slides, fascinators – including shoes, which have been removed from the premises once paid for cannot be refunded or exchanged .
3.3 Shoes ordered for sizing must be tried on in store so they can be exchanged in the condition received and within the time period set by the supplier if another size/style is required.
4.1 Gowns are ordered in standard sizes. Please be aware that gown sizes are different to that of high street sizes. Please make yourself aware of our sizing charts on our website and inside the shop.
Please note : Gowns are made to order and are not made to measure unless from our bespoke range which are then made to measure and height.
4.2 After the sales order contact has been signed and order placed, BRIDAL APPAREL, LEEDS AND WILL NOT accept any responsibility in respect of any changes which may occur in the Customer's size and body shape.
5.1 The price of garments EXCLUDES all costs in respect of alterations or fitting work however this service is provided.
5.2 Regrettably, BRIDAL APPAREL, LEEDS cannot provide a specific delivery date for garments (unless date agreed beforehand), your gown will be ready before your wedding day. Customers can expect their first fitting to be normally carried out approximately 4/6 weeks before the wedding, unless the sales order is for a ‘SHORT ORDER’ or late order, in which case first fittings may be carried out during the week of the wedding and possibly even the day before, but this is very rare.
5.3 It is ESSENTIAL that customers bring their wedding shoes and any underwear being worn on the wedding to their fitting appointments.
5.4 BRIDAL APPAREL, LEEDS offers a fitting and alterations service, but it is an independent service to the shop provided by a fully experienced and competent alterations specialist.
Fittings and alterations works may be carried out elsewhere if required, customers are not obliged to use the services provided by BRIDAL APPAREL, LEEDS.
5.5 Customers are asked to settle any balance due by the date of the gown arriving in store, before alterations are carried out a letter or phone call will be sent to inform the customer of the gowns’ arrival in store.
Balances MUST be settled BEFORE the date of the first fitting at the very latest.
No fittings will be carried out on gowns that are not fully paid for by the date required.
5.6 Customers are asked to make themselves available for all fittings and alterations when reasonably required and should be prepared to attend for at least four fittings.
Please note :that if customers have a significant change in body shape or weight following the sales order being placed, it is their responsibility to inform BRIDAL APPAREL LEEDS as soon as possible.
It is not our policy to take in more than one size but in some situations this can be done successfully but is solely at the customers own risk . Any change in weight incurring more alteration would be chargeable at the time.
Letting out of all gowns is also not advisable, and is at the risk of the customer should they decide on this requirement for their gown.
Advice taken from the alteration specialist is also taken at the customers own risk but they are qualified to point you in the right direction and will advise what will and won’t work then the choice is your to make . The specialist cannot be held responsible for any decisions made about the alteration of any garment which are deemed unsatisfactory after any alterations are completed, if the customer requested them .
5.7 Fitting days do not take place on a Saturday (unless agreed beforehand) and may be restricted due to a specialist being required but customers will be given available dates to suit the customer and the specialist . Every endeavour will be made to accommodate the customer's requirements.
5.8 Customers are advised that if they do not require the alterations service provided in store and wish to take their garments elsewhere that they inform the store as soon as they have decided, as BRIDAL APPAREL LEEDS will not be held responsible for alterations having to be done by another specialist too close to the wedding date.
5.9 Any gowns purchased from another store and brought to be altered at Bridal Apparel Leeds will incur a surcharge advised at the fitting.
Gowns can be steamed at customers request, at their own risk.
6 NON-COLLECTION OF GOODS
6.1 If customers do not collect their goods within 3 months of the wedding date then the contract will be deemed cancelled without any further notification and any monies paid will not be refunded.
Gowns will be put into the shops stock to be re-sold.
7 COLOUR MATCHING
7.1 BRIDAL APPAREL LEEDS is not able to guarantee the colour matching of individual bridesmaids unless the order for all garments is placed all on the same order date.
Colour matching is more difficult when garments are ordered at different dates there will be a better chance that all the garments will match if cut from the same fabric roll.
7.2 BRIDAL APPAREL LEEDS is unable to guarantee fabric swatch matches with in store garments due to fabric changes. Swatches should be regarded as indication only. This applies to all fabrics, laces, beading,and any other trimmings or embellishments.
7.3 Shoe dyeing service – customers should be aware that certain shoes will not be suitable for this service.
BRIDAL APPAREL, LEEDS is not responsible for results/colour match of any shoes dyed against any advice given.
8 Conditions of Hire and Sale
8.1 All alterations are chargeable
8.2 Goods are the sole responsibility of the hirer when taken from our premises and are hired on the understanding that they are returned on the date due, in an undamaged condition.
8.3 Overdue hires will be charged at one third the hire price for every day late.
8.4 In the event of goods not being returned within 14 days of the date due for return, the customer shall be liable to the company for the value thereof, at the current selling price, as at the date of hire, together with hire charges under condition 8.3 until payment received.
8.5 The company will not be responsible if by reason of fire, accident, strike, lockout or force majeure for any other reason beyond their control, any hired article is not available.
8.6 The Hirer agrees to hire the articles specified on the date agreed at the hire charge agreed and on the condition of hire and pay such hire charges whether or not I take up the said articles.
8.7 The company shall not be liable for any injury caused, or from any of the articles.
8.8 Monies are not refundable.
9 TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS
In the event that a BRIDAL APPAREL LEEDS product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, BRIDAL APPAREL LEEDS shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
A) Should the store breach its obligations under this agreement, its liability is limited to any direct loss
incurred by the customer arising from such breach.
The store will NOT be liable for any breaches caused by circumstances outside BRIDAL APPAREL LEEDS' control,including, but not restricted to acts of god, war, riot, terrorisim, pandemic, malicious damage, fire, flood or storm.
